Pannon Tokaj Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2011
Just like for every Tokaj Winery, our most important and most valued treasure is our Aszu. Botrytised Aszuberries are processed under privileged conditions, from careful hand selection, to long barrel aging processes, that gives ground to the world-famous Hungarian Dessert Wine. This wine was aged two years in barrel, then one year in bottle.
The number of “puttony”-s indicates: the amount of Aszu pulp (1 puttony: 20-22 kg) that is soaked in one Gönc barrels (136-140 l) must.
Recommended drinking temperature is 10-12 °C. Best served with light desserts or pâté de foie gras. Certainly a wine for special occasions. It will be also fantastic in 10-20 years or more.
