This grape variety was done by dr. Friedrich Zweigelt and it's crosses of Kékfrankos and St. Lawrence. The first grape was smuggled into Sopron in 1967. Later became a nationally recognized grape variety in Hungary. It is a bit lighter then Kékfrankos, purple and ruby colored, more acidity and dried fruit notes on the palate.

Recommended drinking temperature 18°C. Good company with brown meat poultry, including geese, ducks, pigeons.
