Dúzsi Tamás Kékfrankos (Blaufrankische) Selection 2013
100% from the Görögszó vineyard, from nearly 50 years old vines (planted around 1970). The Görögszó vineyard is the most prestigious vineyard of the Duzsi family & this provides body & character to the wine.
Harvested at the end of October, and alcoholic fermentation took place in large (40hl) barrels.
Deep ruby red wine, with an earthy character on the nose, besides the fruit aromas of blueberries, strawberries & plum & spicy hints of dark chocolate.
Dry on the palate, with intensive fruit aromas of black forest fruits, blackberries and spiciness of sandalwood & dark chocolate.
A full bodied, intensive wine with ripe tannins & a persistent finish, manifesting the pure elegance of a Blaufränkisch from a special selection. Only made in the best vintages at the vinery
Recommended with game and venison dishes or riper full-fat white cheeses such as Camembert or Brie.
