Heumann Blue Secret Blend 2017

Description

Heumann Blue Secret is a medium-full bodied, soft, dry red from the popular Villany wine region. It is a well balanced blend of 70% Kekfrankos, 15% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

This dry red is a fresh and smooth blend produced from 14-24 year old vines grown on loess and limestone soils. The fruit is carefully ripened and gently crushed. In turn, the wine dominates with fruity fragrances of black berries, red cherries and vanilla with a deep purple colour.  On the palate, layers of juicy blackberries, cherries and plums are most pronounced. The tannins are soft and gentle and it ends with an enjoyably long finish. An interesting combination of a relatively easy drinking soft wine, with relatively high alcohol level of 14% !

Recommended to consume besides braised beef, pulled pork, grilled dishes, pepperoni pizza, shepherd’s pie, Lancashire hot pot, roast game or meatballs in tomato sauce.
