Description
This wine is the top Furmint from the boutique Sanzon winery, which is situated in the village of Erdőbénye in the heart of Tokaj. The winery is owned by Erika Rácz and Gergely Jánosi and their wines are fully organic.
This Furmint is made exclusively from a single vineyard in Rány, where the terroir contributes to a mineral style and makes for a Furmint that’s deep and complex in character.
Cold fermented in stainless steel tanks & also aged on fine lees for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Silky, smooth and fresh dry white wine with aromas of juicy stone fruits, such as peach and apricot, complemented by zingy green apples, and citrus fruits of limes and clementines. Subtle mineral characteristics, firmly structured on the palate, with lovely long finish.
Recommended to consume with: Chicken coated in green harissa and served with baked potato wedges, creamy pasta dishes, cheese scones and cured meats, falafel burgers, smoked trout or shellfish.
