Somloi Vandor Nagy-Somloi Juhfark 2018
Fresh and zesty white wine with notes of blossom, pear and citrus.
Somloi Vandor Nagy-Somloi Juhfark is a dry white wine from Somlo-Hill, Lake Balaton, Hungary. It is 100% Juhfark.
Made entirely from Somlo’s native grape variety, Juhfark (meaning “sheep’s tail”), by winemaker Tamas Kis. Hand-harvested from a 4.5 hectare organic estate, situated on Somlo hill, famed for its volcanic soils. Fermented with wild yeasts in old Hungarian oak barrels before being aged for six months. The resulting wine is wonderfully aromatic with complex smoky and savoury notes, hints of flower blossom and ripe pears. On the palate, saline minerality gives a moreish mouthfeel.

Pairs beautifully with: Roast pork, veal in cream sauce, soy-based stir fries, stuffed bell peppers with rice and herbs, risotto or white fish.
