Region: Eger wine region, Nagy-Eged-hill. On this particular hill, the soil is quite different from the soil elsewhere in the region – higher concentration of limestone. This gives a distinct character to the wine.
Plantation: Guyot cultivation method, planted in 240×100 cm rows.
Vintage, Vinification: Early germination, hot and dry summer, early harvest
Only the most outstanding vintages produce Grand Superior, which is the top category of the Bikavér (Bulls Blood). 27 months barrel ageing. Varieties: Kékfrankos (Blaufrankische), Cabernet franc, Merlot, Syrah, Kadarka.
Alcohol content: 14%, acid content: 4,8 g/l.
Recommendation: It accompanies beef and wild games the best. For example, we suggest a pairing with grilled steak with potato strudel. It is best consumed at 16-18°C.
