Pannon Tokaj Dominium Hanna Cuvée late harvest 2011
Dominium range has been treated with advantaged care, it is their upper class wine range.
Grape Varieties : 70% Hárslevelű, 20% Muscat Lunel, 10 % Furmint.
The best characters of 3 typical Tokaji grape varieties are reserved in this wine. Elegant floral in the nose, long fruity taste of apricot, flower-honey in the palate.
The harvest of this cuvée wine was in December(!) 2011 and fermented in stainless steeel tanks. Aged in Hungarian oak wood barrels in the winery’s 600 years old wine cellar from 12th April 2012 for more than 8 months. After several filtration procedures the bottleing took place middle of September 2013.
Light gold colour, with intensive bouquet of apricot, honey and tropical fruits in the nose. In the palate sligthly elegant botrytis and acids. Thanks to the oak-wood barrel ageing a characteristic oak with some almond and nut is also noticeable. Well balanced acid-sugar components, with very long taste. A very fine and additional value from botrytised Aszúberries in the wine.
Drink now or keep it for 4-5 years. Goes well with blue cheese, spicy dishes or not too sweet desserts, or just drink on its own. Recommended drinking temperature 9-10°C.
