Description
100% Kéknyelű from Lake Balaton wine region. This variety is a rare, single sex grape, only to be found in Hungary, and only in the Badacsony wine region. Kéknyelű translates to ‘Blue Stalk’.
The grapes are hand-harvested from the Kőmagas vineyard which is located on the southern slopes of Csobanc Mountain of Lake Balaton.
It has been fermented in stainless steel, that also followed a partial maturation in oak barrels for 4 months. This process takes the edges off the wine, making it more round, and adding a more complex character.
The resulting wine is floral, fruity & creamy on the nose. Vivid, zesty & crisp on the palate. Further notes of oak, apple, citrus fruits, peaches, and white flowers with an elegant, long finish.Best to pair with: Olives, lemon-dressed white fish dishes, vegetable risottos, baked sweet potato or light salads.
Alc: 13.0%
