Description
Egerszóláti Olasz Rizling is one of the traditional white wines of the Eger Wine Region. It is made of the wine of the variety called Olasz Rizling (outside Hungary more commonly known under its German-language name Welschriesling) and has on origin of the village Egerszólát. A full-bodied white wine with nice acids. It is the best when fermented and aged in oak for a few months. Bottle ageing pays off well. It is the best 2-3 years after harvest. This wine has got 10 month ripening in oak barrel. Ripe maize inclined to gold hue. Dense nose of delicious rocky minerals mingled with a hint of vanilla and elderflower. Similarly styled palate (grapefruit, vanilla and chamomile) with a long finish.
Drink now or keep it for 4-5 years. Goes well with fish, poultry or spicy food made from pork. Recommended drinking temperature: 7-8°C.
