Ikon Pinot Noir 2011
Aromatic, distinctive, ripe, but not overly, Pinot. Intense aromas of sour cherry, cherry, redcurrant, dill and tangerine. Lots of spice and juicy red fruits on the palate, with a tangy dry finish of 9 months of wooden barrel ageing.
Although not a classic Hungarian variety (as it is now produced in a wide variety of lands & vineyards such as North Italy, Western Germany, South Africa, Chile, Australia, New Zeland, California & Oregon), yet a great representation of excellent the terroir of the Southern shore of Lake Balaton & the ideal climate of hot summers and crisp winters, that allows for high quality of viticulture.
A light and perfumed red, recommended with pork dishes & red meats.
