100% Pinot Noir Rose from Duzsi Tamas AKA “The Rose King”. Duzsi Winery has earned their reputation in Hungary from their roses rightfully. They are considered a flagship winery when it comes to making premium roses. They are pioneers in the premiumisation of Rose wines, raising the “renome” of Rose wines not only in Hungary, but on the international wine scene too.
Duzsi Tamas Pinot Noir Rose comes from Sióagárd-Lányvár, near Szekszard, with just over 15 year old vines. Fruity on the nose, with a touch of strawberry, cherry and marzipan on the palate. However this wine is certainly on the drier end, with quite a body for a rose! Highly recommended for more advanced wine fans. Duzsi Tamas Pinot Noir Rose also ages beautifully.
Pinot Noir is a great variety to make roses from, especially in France, it is a popular choice both to use for roses and Champagnes.
