Gizella Estate Furmint is a dry white wine from Tokaj, Hungary. It’s a blend of Furmint and Harslevelu

There’s only a few thousand bottles of this limited edition estate Furmint made each year. It showcases the delicious acidity and ripe orchard fruits that are so classic of the variety Furmint. As a twist, there’s also a dollop of the grape variety Harslevelu, another local Tokaj grape, that adds more structure, an oily texture, floral aromas and a hint of honey. The wine is matured mostly in stainless steel to preserve fruitiness, but 10% is matured in new oak barrels.

You’ll like this if you like… Chablis, new world Sauvignon Blanc, or volcanic white wines like those of the Canary Islands or Santorini.

Pairs beautifully with: Lightly spiced dishes, pasta bake, risotto and grilled white meats.

Cheese pairing: Applewood cheddar, Keltic Gold or Balaton cheese for the authentic touch!
