St Donat Magma Rose Brut is a 100% Kékfrankos, dry, organic sparkling rosé wine from the Lake Balaton wine region.
Only made in exceptional vintages, this creamy, pink sparkling was created by winemaker Tamas Kovacs using traditional Champagne-making methods. It uses 100% Kékfrankos fruit, hand-harvested from the Aranyház and Ráta vineyards on the Tihany peninsula. The base wine is bottled unfiltered, giving extra foaming texture. The resulting wine shines in pretty salmon colour with intense fruity fragrances and notes of strawberries, raspberries, brioche and spice on the palate.
St Donat Magma Rose Brut goes well with smoked ham canapés, pizza, sushi, seared tuna, crab cakes, or rhubarb and strawberry crumble.
