Laposa Winery

Laposa Wine Estate is a very popular family run winery in the Badacsony region. The winery works with traditional, local grape varieties that are located in some of the best sites of the surrounding volcanic slopes in the region.

Focusing on mostly white wines, the winery produces around 120.000–150.000 bottles per annum, of Welschriesling, Rhine Riesling, Pinot gris, Kéknyelű (blue stalk), Furmint and Juhfark (sheep’s tail).

Following the establishment of the winery by the parents (Jozsef and Eleonora) in the 1980’s, currently the winery is run by the second generation; Bence Laposa, being in charge of managing the estate, and Zsofia in charge of wine the making processes.
