100% Rose Cabernet Franc from the Vineyard above Zomba – Berek of Szekszard. Cabernet Franc is one of Duzsi Winery’s most sophisticated variety. Duzsi Tamas enjoys working with this variety especially because it makes wines with the longest finish.

This variety is a popular in both Szekszard and Villany wine regions. The micro climate and terroir suits Cabernet Franc very well here. This region produces some phenomenal Red & Rosé Cabernet Franc. Especially, when a particularly talented winemaker can work to showcase the excellent qualities of this variety.

 

Rosé Cabernet Franc

 

This wine is one of the winery’s premium rage roses. Furthermore, it is another excellent example of Duzsi’s multi award winning rose wines. Any rose championship it turns up, it brings home a precious award. Hence, Duzsi Tamas has also became known as “The Rose King” in Hungary.

Duzsi winery is a flagship winery when it comes to making premium roses. Indeed, they are pioneers in the premiumisation of Rose wines, raising the “renome” of Rose wines. They do this not only in Hungary, but certainly on the international wine scene too.

Lovely salmon coloured rose with a copper tint. Duzsi Tamas Rosé Cabernet Franc boats floral fragrances on the nose, with red berries and fresh citrus fruits. Remarkably full body with a pleasant touch of tannins, and well balanced acidity. This wine also showcases flavours of young, fresh raspberries and hints of lime & grapefruit on the palate. It also has a lovely long finish. It is an excellent Cabernet Franc Rose.

Recommended to consume 10-12 °C.
